Introduction to LLUK
Lifelong Learning UK is an educational charity which began operating in 2005. Our aim is to ensure that employers in the learning and skills sector can recruit, retain and develop skilled and effective staff. This will enable employees throughout the UK to access the learning they need, thus helping to build a prosperous and inclusive society.
We are a company limited by guarantee and form part of the network of 25 Sector Skills Councils (SSCs) operating throughout the UK. We have a Board of 25 drawn from all areas of the sector we serve.
LLUK represents employers in further and higher education, work-based learning, community learning and development, and libraries, archives and information services. We do not ourselves provide training. We operate at a strategic level, taking responsibility for assembling labour market information, for developing standards and frameworks of qualifications, for building partnerships with funders and other key stakeholders, and for developing the voice of employers in the sector.
We are a rapidly growing organisation. We can offer interesting and varied roles, with lively and stimulating company, in an environment where no two days are ever the same. And there will be opportunities for your own personal development.
